Proposal Manager Global Solution

Prima in Europa per estensione della rete di trasmissione (oltre 41.000 km comprese le attività internazionali) e capacità di stoccaggio di gas naturale (circa 20 miliardi di metri cubi, comprese le attività internazionali), la società è anche tra i principali operatori continentali nella rigassificazione, attraverso il terminale di Panigaglia e le quote negli impianti di Livorno (OLT) e Rovigo (Adriatic LNG) in Italia e di Revithoussa (DESFA) in Grecia, per una capacità di rigassificazione complessiva pro quota di circa 8,5 miliardi di metri cubi annui.

Nell’ambito di un piano da 6,5 miliardi di euro al 2023, Snam investe 1,4 miliardi nel progetto SnamTec (Tomorrow’s Energy Company) per ridurre l’impatto ambientale delle proprie attività attraverso l’innovazione (con obiettivi di riduzione del 40% delle emissioni di metano al 2025 e delle emissioni dirette e indirette di CO2 equivalenti al 2030) e contribuire alla decarbonizzazione del sistema tramite i suoi nuovi business nella transizione energetica: mobilità sostenibile (distributori di gas naturale compresso – CNG e bio-CNG – e liquefatto – LNG e bio-LNG, Small-scale LNG), infrastrutture di biometano da rifiuti organici e scarti agricoli e agro-industriali, servizi di efficienza energetica per condomini, pubblica amministrazione e industria. Snam è stata la prima azienda europea a sperimentare l’immissione di idrogeno miscelato a gas naturale nella propria rete.

As a Proposal Manager you will Ensure management of commercial bids in order to optimize success in contracts awarding and maximising Snam commercial results.

The candidate is expected to have previous experiences as a proposal manager preferably in the energy infrastructure sector, with experience in developing and finalizing commercial and technical proposal relevant to consultancy and/or engineering services and digital solutions.   

 

She or he will work in the team leaded by the Head of Snam Global Solutions Offering and together with SGS Senior Vice Presidents and the SGS team, internal business units, technical and digital innovation departments to finalize the commercial and technical proposal within the timeframe and cost target identified by the Global Solution Commercial

function.

 

The proposal manager is responsible of the Project proposals until the award of the contract.

She/he will be in charge for the production of effective proposals and could be delegated by the Global Solutions Commercial Function to negotiate the contracts in respect to the defined margin, the procedures and deadlines.


As a Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Develop the Proposal Plan;
  • Execute the strategy for the proposal as defined together with the SGS Commercial Function;
  • Organise and hold the bid kick-off meeting;
  • Define the bid cost structure, with the support of the Estimator
  • Coordinate the resources dedicated to the finalization of the Commercial and Technical proposal. Make sure that all tasks are assigned, roles are defined, staffed and team aligned
  • Manage the interfaces with Partners and Client;
  • Support the SGS Commercial Function in meetings with external stakeholders;
  • Ensure definition of the scope of work of each party involved in the bid;
  • Analyse Contract requirements and conditions;
  • Highlight the main deviations against the specifications of the tender;
  • Coordinate the mark up on the contract and the relevant finalization with Technical, Legal, Insurance and Tax team;
  • Approve the cost estimate of internally performed activities developed by the Estimator and based on the evaluations made by the other technical/procurement;
  • Define and ensure the definition of project organisation, overall project schedule, overall execution plan, overall resource plan with the relevant technical department, Procurement, HR and Legal the overall Project delivery schedule;
  • Responsible for timely production of all proposal deliverable;
  • Ensure the submittal of the Proposal to the Client;
  • Manage the post-bid clarification phase with the Client;
  • Lead, if so delegated, negotiations with clients to reach an agreement on the outstanding pricing, commercial, contractual and technical aspects of the Proposal and in the formalisation of contracts
  • Report on all risks and opportunities against Bid documentation, bid evaluation criteria and Draft of Contract.
     
     
    Must have:
     
     
  • At least 5 years of experience in the role of Proposal Manager
  • Strong experience in: international proposals actions, international commercial actions;
  • Significant Experience in: contract execution, complex negotiations
  • University degree in: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business Management
  • Fluent English,
  • Knowledge of Italian
