Engineering & Digital Services Solutions Manager

Prima in Europa per estensione della rete di trasmissione (oltre 41.000 km comprese le attività internazionali) e capacità di stoccaggio di gas naturale (circa 20 miliardi di metri cubi, comprese le attività internazionali), la società è anche tra i principali operatori continentali nella rigassificazione, attraverso il terminale di Panigaglia e le quote negli impianti di Livorno (OLT) e Rovigo (Adriatic LNG) in Italia e di Revithoussa (DESFA) in Grecia, per una capacità di rigassificazione complessiva pro quota di circa 8,5 miliardi di metri cubi annui.

Nell’ambito di un piano da 6,5 miliardi di euro al 2023, Snam investe 1,4 miliardi nel progetto SnamTec (Tomorrow’s Energy Company) per ridurre l’impatto ambientale delle proprie attività attraverso l’innovazione (con obiettivi di riduzione del 40% delle emissioni di metano al 2025 e delle emissioni dirette e indirette di CO2 equivalenti al 2030) e contribuire alla decarbonizzazione del sistema tramite i suoi nuovi business nella transizione energetica: mobilità sostenibile (distributori di gas naturale compresso – CNG e bio-CNG – e liquefatto – LNG e bio-LNG, Small-scale LNG), infrastrutture di biometano da rifiuti organici e scarti agricoli e agro-industriali, servizi di efficienza energetica per condomini, pubblica amministrazione e industria. Snam è stata la prima azienda europea a sperimentare l’immissione di idrogeno miscelato a gas naturale nella propria rete.

As a Engineering & Digital Service Solutions Manager, you will drive business growth and take ownership of building our Service Portfolio to solve problems for new and existing customers. Using your technical and innovation management knowledge, you will coordinate a team of Engineering & Digital Service Solutions Managers to rationalise existing product portfolio, manage the technology strategy for Snam Global Solutions, create the Scope of Works of Customer Solutions, in coordination with Technical solution managers, during the offering phase and manage execution, cost, pricing, and commercialization. Acting as an ambassador for the Snam Global Solutions service solutions, you will contribute innovative insights that drive new and existing sales opportunities.

 

The candidate is expected to have previous experiences in engineering, product management, technical proposal management preferably in the energy infrastructure sector, with experience in selling outcome based services and digital solutions.  

 

She or he will work with SGS Senior Vice President, the SGS team, and will coordinate, through functional report, a team of Technical Solutions Managers within the Technical Department to provide best solutions to our customer needs.


As a Service Solution Leader, you will be responsible for:
 

Leadership & Project Management

 

  • Coordinate Solutions Managers work; Coach, support and motivate the team day by day;
  • Support Team to plan activities, meet deadlines and meet customer expectations
  • In alignment with the Head of technology, the GS leadership and key representatives of BUAIT, own the development of the solutions in the long term

 

Build Engineering and Digital Service Solutions

 

  • Develop service solution pricing and positioning strategies
  • Be responsible to deliver the technical scope of work during the commercial offering phases, along with the Technical Solutions Managers team
  • Translate solution strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Create buy-in for the service solution vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Drive solution launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other technical team members
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Meeting with clients and ensuring that their needs are understood; Build strong relationships with clients or partners in order to establish new contracts and define agreements
  • Ensure that the final service offered is of high quality together with the implementation leader
  • Build, maintain and innovate the Service Solution Portfolio, set the technology strategy and implementation
  • Assess competition and differentiate our solutions
  • Oversee the solution lifecycle from first discovery to implementation
  • Work in partnership with GS commercial team to Build and Test Customer Value propostion
  • Gather the learnings from implementation and continuously improve the solutions offered

 

Drive commercialization

 

  • Work with the marketing and strategy team to drive promotional plans consistently with solution service solutions portfolio strategy
  • Work with sales and commercial department to develop and implement a Service Solutions commercialization plan
  • Act as a Service Solution evangelist to build awareness and understanding of SGS service portfolio

 

 

 

 

Must have:

 

  • At least 10 years of international experience in: technology development, product development;
  • Experience in:  creating and delivering engineering solutions and digital solutions for customers;
  • Good knowledge of energy sector:  gas transport, gas storage infrastructure, renewable energy gas related (hydrogen);
  • University degree in: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Business Management
  • Fluent English,
  • Knowledge of Italian

 

 

Nice to have:

  

  • Experience in supporting technical proposals for large and complex contractual agreements
  • Knowledge of French, Spanish, German
