Commercial Manager - Global Solutions

Nell’ambito di un piano da 6,5 miliardi di euro al 2023, Snam investe 1,4 miliardi nel progetto SnamTec (Tomorrow’s Energy Company) per ridurre l’impatto ambientale delle proprie attività attraverso l’innovazione (con obiettivi di riduzione del 40% delle emissioni di metano al 2025 e delle emissioni dirette e indirette di CO2 equivalenti al 2030) e contribuire alla decarbonizzazione del sistema tramite i suoi nuovi business nella transizione energetica: mobilità sostenibile (distributori di gas naturale compresso – CNG e bio-CNG – e liquefatto – LNG e bio-LNG, Small-scale LNG), infrastrutture di biometano da rifiuti organici e scarti agricoli e agro-industriali, servizi di efficienza energetica per condomini, pubblica amministrazione e industria. Snam è stata la prima azienda europea a sperimentare l’immissione di idrogeno miscelato a gas naturale nella propria rete.

Partner with a dynamic commercial team

 

As a Commercial Manager you will drive business growth and take ownership of the service orders for new and existing customers. Using your knowledge of the market and customers, you will build trusted relationship. Acting as an ambassador for the customer, you will contribute innovative insights that drive new and existing sales opportunities.

The candidate is expected to have previous experiences as a commercial manager preferably in the energy infrastructure sector, with experience in selling outcome based services and digital solutions.   

She or he will work with SGS Senior Vice President and the SGS team, internal business units, technical and digital innovation departments to provide best solutions to our customer needs.


As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Building and executing territory orders & sales commercial plan geared towards driving market growth and penetration of our accounts;
  • Liaising with key clients and collaborating with stakeholders on complex sales processes to ensure successful delivery;
  • Developing technical and market expertise on solutions and applications, using this knowledge to provide pre- and post-sales support for key accounts;
  • Providing customers with presales support and preparing & conducting sales presentations, addressing all relevant areas up to client's board level;
  • Forecasting Order and Sales via input in our CRM system on a weekly basis;
  • Develop business opportunities through scouting, negotiation and monitoring local regulations and markets;
  • Build strong relationships with potential clients or partners in order to establish new contracts and define agreements;
  • Develop relationships with different departments within the company to ensure everyone is working toward the same targets and goals;
  • Coordinate, with the support of Snam HQ, the preparation of commercial and technical proposals. Support the team to develop risk assessments and pricing structures for projects;
  • Carry out all the activities required in order to sign service contracts;
  • Follow-up on all the phase of service supply (e.g. control on delivery and client satisfaction, manage relationship with client, payment of fees, …);
     
    Must have:  

 

  • 10 years of international experience in the position of Commercial Manager 
  • Experience on selling, negotiating and closing large and complex contractual agreements;
  • Good knowledge of energy sector, with focus on: gas transport & storage infrastructure or renewable energy gas related (e.g. Biomethane, CNG, hydrogen);
  • Master degree: in STEM or business management
  • Availability to frequent travel worldwide
  • Fluent English
  • At least Intermediate Italian

 

 Nice to have:

 

  • Knowledge of: French, German, Spanish or other languages is a plus

  • Commercial attitude, value added negotiation skills, familiarity in the client management;
  • Have the ability to be a technical consultant to our customers and build successful and strategic relationships;
  • Proven track record of leadership and management skills;
  • Be a strong team player and show the ability to adapt in a fast changing, dynamic environment;
  • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to identify and solve problems;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and clear thinking to articulate highly technical information in a clear and easy to understand manner
